Akshaya Venkatesh
President & CEO
Akshaya is a rising senior pursuing her Bachelor's in Econometrics at UI Urbana-Champaign, a field that equips her with the analytical skills to understand complex economic issues. She is the President & CEO of CultivaidUS.org. She is passionate about solving food insecurity, social justice, economic issues and is driven to help tackle these problems. She is on a mission to transform consumer behavior across the nation one state at a time, by creating awareness about the importance of giving away excess produce that is grown in people's very own backyards or farms. She is appreciative of how the surplus produce is able to be re-distributed 100% free through Cultivaid and thus help the needy in her community. In her free time, Akshaya enjoys spending time with her friends, workouts, and spending time with her family.
Shashvath Venkatesh
Vice President
Shashvath, a Neuroscience undergrad freshman at UC Irvine and the Vice President of CultivaidUS.org. He joined Cultivaid to assist his sister with the non-profit operations and in bringing volunteers to the sites. He organizes the backyard harvesting pickups, as well as collecting excess produce from the distribution sites to be re-distributed to the homeless shelters & church charity dining rooms. Outside of Cultivaid and his studies, Shashvath is an avid fitness enthusiast, a passionate sports fan cheering on the Cardinals and Suns, and enjoys hanging out with his friends, and playing sports.
